I am absolutely NOT a fan of basketball, but will be glued to the tv tonight as the pumpkin pushers from the University of Kansas battle Memphis for the national championship.

this is particularly sweet because the Jayhawks had to beat their old coach at North Carolina to get to the finals.

Easily beaten by One Night in Barcelona.

5 minutes into the game Mario Basler puts Bayern !-0 ahead. Bayern reatin the lead for the entire game past the 90 minute mark. 3 minutes are added on for injury tim. 30 seconds in Teddy Sheringham equalises to draw the teams at 1-1. Clive Tydesly "He has equalised for Manchester United THEY ARE STILL IN THE EUROPEAN CUP".

a minute later united win another corner. Beckham swings it in Sheringham heads it on before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer buries it.

The most dramatic european cup win in history.

My greatest sporting moment was the football world cup in Germany. Everywhere happy people and a lot of national flags. The win against Argentina through penalty shoot-out. Jens Lehmann we love you :D

did you know that his heart was physically about twice the size of the average horse heart?

and, well, he's not secretariat, but here's my boy coming from behind to place 3rd. He won 11 races in his career. finished in the money in half his races. All before I got him. He was retired and neglected and forgotten about when he came to live with me.

Well, who is the greatest girl QB and pass receiver... ahem......

LOL, my personal greatest sporting moment was today. I work with a down's syndrome young man. On tuesdays we go walking for exercise. He insisted on bringnig his football today, so we tossed the football back and forth in the park. I'll have you know Bay can still throw a pass (football, get your minds out of the gutter) and she can still catch a wobbly thrown football!!!!

It was great fun. I forgot how much exercise that is jumping and running after a football.

I'm speaking american football here, the pointy kind, LOL....I was a bit worried about landing wrong with all the twisting and turning and blowing out my knee again, but we got back to Joe's house all intact, all body parts working, LOL...

anyway, had a blast, just had to share.
