Quirk, I used to be a staunch pro choicer. (is that a word?). What changed me around was when I started raising horses. When I got a mare bred, I'd take her to the vet 16 days post breeding for an ultrasound to see if she was in foal. yes, that early, you can tell that blob has a heartbeat.

I thought if I get this misty eyed over a 16 day old blob in a mare's uterus, why would I not feel the same about one in a human uterus?

these days, i have a second job working with a down's syndrome man and his family. J. is 22YO and very functional but needs a lot of supervision. He is awesome. I know it's been a lot of work for his family, but J has touched so many people's lives in such a positive way. I'm really glad they didn't make the choice to abort him and I'm sure they are glad too.
