*yawn*

The claim that the Nazis were doing what they did under Christianity is easily refuted.

You can tell I don't agree with this video for many reasons.

Actually the Vatican was very much against the Holocaust under the period of Pope Pius XII, even keeping Jews in the Vatican for their safety.

Is it me...regardless of the topic, they lost my vote...

An 8-year-old should not be talking that way. What kind of parents condone a girl like that using foul language and talking about things she may not understand ...and in front of a camera...

Very valid point. This girl is an actress and this is a video to promote an album however your point raises the issue of is it right to have kids following religions they dont understand?

I didnt say that it was but on that issue is there many kids that age who dont curse? There is many worse ways in which children are potrayed in mass culture than this.

What are you on about, Quirk? In whose world are there many 8-year-olds who curse?

Not in my world...a parent allowing a child of that age to do so in front of a camera is suspect to me. I am no prude, but parents are supposed to protect children and teach them that this is unacceptable. It is tantamount to abuse to allow it.

Apart from anything else, what are these parents going to bring out instead of the baby pictures...

Quirk, that isn't the point. This is a sign by the secular grouping of society doing the very thing they claim that us theists do. Indoctrinate, and manipulate their children to put forward a secular agenda on Youtube.

I agree with your points on allowing the child to go in front of the camera in the first place. There is however many kids that age that curse.

This is one particular case and isnt a case of the secular group doing anything. I doubt the kid was indoctrinated or anything but rather reading from a script.

But the video does raise some valid issues. If its wrong to have a kid saying stuff like this which they dont understand is it not wrong to have them pray or indoctrinated into religion at an age they cant understand it?

There is really no such thing as a Christian child in the same way that there is no such thing as a Marxist child but rather just children of Christians and Marxists.

I agree with the latter part of your statement. However making a video of your child reading from a script to put forward a given view, is propoganda. If people did this in the name of religion, I would find it the exact same way.

People can teach their children religious ethics, or secular ethics if they wish. However this isn't just teaching, this is manipulation in this case.

But the child is an actress and the video is promoting a band. Is it wrong for kids to act and read of scripts full stop or just in this case?
