The previews for this movie looked fantastic so I went to see it yesterday. I wasn't disappointed. The plot was that of a chick flick IMO but the music was so great that I believe anyone who likes good musicals would enjoy it. It combined the wonderful music of Abba with lots of dancing extras reminiscent of the musical extravaganzas of the 40's. (I think it was the 40's when that kind of movie was made although it was before my time.)

I didn't know that Meryl Streep could sing! She didn't display much voice power, though, until a song near the end where she really belted it out and I was so impressed. I knew she was an awesome actress but boy can she sing, too!

Anyway, if you like Abba or good musicals with dancing you won't be disappointed with Mama Mia. ;)

Oh yes, I agree. It was funny and he did a great job! But I don't want to say anymore about him because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.

It's a fun, entertaining, feel-good kind of movie. :)
