During first half year of 2008, Russian export to Greece increased in value terms by nearly 14% compared to the same period of the previous year due to growth of average contract prices for wheat and sunflower oil, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
The volume of food and agricultural products export to Greece in the first half year totaled 37.6 mln USD.
Aleksey Gordeyv, the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, and Alexandros Kondos, the Minister of Agricultural Development and Food of Greece, will have a meeting on October 10 in Moscow to discuss the development of bilateral collaboration in the sphere of agriculture between Russia and Greece.
As a reminder, the countries have the Joint program for 2007-2009, signed in May, 2007.
